The World Health Organization (WHO) is monitoring a mutant of the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
Experts have recently reported that this so-called subvariant is slowly spreading in the United Kingdom.
Other countries, such as the United States, Denmark and Russia, also registered the first cases. According to British media, the new mutant was first discovered in July.
However, researchers do not yet assume that the subvariant is much more contagious than the current Delta variant.
