Shell’s shareholders’ meeting in London was disrupted on Tuesday by shouting in the hall. Environmental activists shouted, among other things, “Shell must fall”.
Commissioner Andrew Mackenzie has repeatedly called for order and is now asking security to remove the protesters.
The activists argue that Shell is doing far too little to reduce emissions. They say they will chain themselves to the company’s oil and gas pipelines to thwart operations.
They also sang “We will stop you”.
