The Muslim fundamentalist Taliban quickly took power in Afghanistan after US troops left the country after 20 years of presence.

Thousands of western Afghans are trying to flee the country via the airport in the capital Kabul. Our country is also fully engaged in evacuations.

The US, which is responsible for the security of Kabul International Airport, is considering extending its presence at the airport.
