Ukraine: 300,000 Households Without Gas and Heating

The Russian invasion has left about 300,000 households without gas and heating in Ukraine, the country’s largest energy supplier, Naftogaz, reported.

The company says it can provide “relatively stable” gas supplies in much of the country, except in places under siege by the Russians, such as Mariupol or Kharkiv.

The boss of Naftogaz demands in an interview with the German magazine Die Zeit that the West no longer transfers the money for Russian gas and oil to Moscow.

The countries would have to deposit the money in an escrow account that will not be released until Russia withdraws from Ukraine.
