Uber will Refuse Passengers with low Ratings. Taxi service Uber changes its conditions. Just as drivers can be banned in the event of a too low assessment, passengers will soon be able to lose access to the service if they misbehave too often.
“Respect is two-way traffic, just like accountability,” Uber said in a statement.
The new provisions now only apply in the US and Canada, other countries will follow later. Before users lose access to the app, they will first receive several warnings.
Users are also given tips on how to improve their behaviour: friendliness is appreciated and not leaving trash.
Requests to drive faster than permitted can also lead to a short assessment.
The company believes that only a small number of passengers will notice the new measure.
