Russia Summons German Ambassador Over Navalny

Russia has called the ambassador of Germany in connection with the Navalny case.

The reason is that last week the German government announced that there is “unambiguous evidence” that the Russian opposition leader has been poisoned with a nerve agent from the Novichok group.

The spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Germany of “bluffing”. Earlier, Russia called the German government’s claim unfounded.

44-year-old Alexey Navalny, a prominent critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, is in a German hospital after becoming unwell on a flight from Siberia to Moscow on August 20.
