Police in Berlin are Threatening With Arrests for Masks

The police in Berlin threatens to arrest participants in a demonstration against corona rules if they do not put on a face mask.


The police said via Twitter that the call to use face covering is not being listened to.

If arrests don’t help, the only option is to cancel the entire demonstration, police said. In the meantime, water cannons have also been set up.

Thousands of opponents of the corona measures have now gathered near the Bundestag on Wednesday to demonstrate.

At the Brandenburg Gate alone, the police counted 5,000 to 10,000 protesters. Elsewhere a thousand more people were gathered.

The police have more than 2000 people on the street. The Bundestag has been cordoned off widely
