Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has won the parliamentary elections, but his right-wing bloc has no majority in the Knesset.
The results of the elections on Monday were announced on Thursday, Israeli media reported. The official result will follow on 10 March.
Netanyahu’s Likud won 36 seats. Together with the other right-wing parties in the block, the party does not go further than 58 seats in the 120-seat parliament.
The third elections in Israel within a year were meant to break the political impasse, but the question is whether we succeeded.
Because Netanyahu is short for a majority, the prime minister must look for an additional coalition partner. If he does not find it, the political crisis continues.
