Israel Will Receive the First Delivery of Pfizer Vaccines on Thursday

Israel will receive the first vaccines from pharmaceutical company Pfizer and its partner BioNTech on Thursday. It concerns 110,000 doses, Israeli media report.

 

While the start of the vaccination has not yet been announced.

The vaccines against Covid-19 arrive in Tel Aviv on a flight from Chicago. The country’s nearly 9 million residents will receive a total of 8 million doses of the vaccine.

Older adults over the age of 60 and other risk groups are vaccinated first. Israel has identified nearly 350,000 infections. Almost 3,000 people have died from Covid-19.

The United Kingdom was the first country in the world to start administering the Pfizer vaccines on Tuesday.
