Finnish Ombudsman starts an Investigation into possible data Breach Nokia. The Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman has launched an investigation into a possible data breach at telephone manufacturer Nokia, according to the reports in Finland.
It is the Nokia 7 Plus model, which is stated to have sent personal data to the server of a state-owned Chinese telecom provider.
Due to the data violation, personal data such as the telephone’s serial number,
telephone number, location data and SIM card data would have been sent.
The ombudsman will now investigate whether there is indeed a data infringement.
Nokia and the parent company HMD Global have not yet responded.
The Nokia 7 Plus came on the market in February 2018.
