The death toll from the attack on Kabul University in Afghanistan last Monday has risen to at least 35, Reuters news agency reports Tuesday, based on two government sources.
Most of the victims are students.
The sources told Reuters that some 50 people were injured in the attack, claimed by the Islamic State (IS) terror group.
Armed men stormed the university on Monday and shot at students in their classrooms.
The gunmen were engaged in a firefight with elite Afghan forces for six hours, the Interior Ministry said. The three attackers in military uniform were eventually shot.
