British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been hospitalized. According to 10 Downing Street, it would be a minor routine surgery on his sinuses.
Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab is temporarily filling in as prime minister.
Johnson had to undergo a general anaesthetic on Monday for minor sinus surgery and had to rest for the rest of the day. Deputy Prime Minister Raab will make all the important decisions in the meantime.
According to Johnson’s spokesman, the prime minister will return to work “depending on how he feels” on Tuesday. A trip to Rwanda to meet the government there at the end of this week is still scheduled to go ahead.
