Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden was seen in public for the first time since March 15 on Monday at a memorial service in the town of New Castle in his home state of Delaware.
He had stayed indoors for more than two months so far because of the anti-coronavirus measures.
The photos show that he and his wife laid a wreath in the Veterans Memorial Park on Memorial Day.
Biden and his wife both wore black masks.
The former Vice President of the United States thanked a veteran present for his service in the military.
