Air France cabin crew requires the airline to stop flying to China. According to French trade unions, stewards and flight attendants are afraid that these flights will expose them to the new coronavirus.
Like its sister company KLM, Air France has decided to fly less to China, but still carries out flights to the Asian country.
The changes were not so much related to the virus outbreak situation, but mainly to the declining bookings.
“Air France is following the rapidly evolving situation,” responds a company spokesperson. “The health and safety of the crew remain an absolute priority.”
Earlier British Airways and Lufthansa chose to stop flights to China altogether.
