A woman in London made a shocking discovery while preparing breakfast for her children. In a carton of cereal, she found a bag of crystal meth.
When 25-year-old Haisam Nassir saw the plastic bag with crystals between the Golden Morn corn flakes, she already suspected that it was crystal meth. So she took the bag to the police, and it was confirmed that it was indeed the highly addictive methamphetamine.
It is estimated that the bag contained about 450 grams of crystal meth. This is more than 100,000 pounds.
The mother of four children, aged 3, 2 and twins aged 1, is very shocked by this discovery. The children were already snacking from the box before the bag appeared. “Imagine if it had cracked and my kids had eaten it. This could have been fatal,” she told The Sun.
The children were examined at the hospital for a check-up. Fortunately, they had not been given crystal meth.
Producer Nestlé has investigated the matter and claims that the bag was added after the product left Nigeria, where the cornflakes are produced.
